Jim Root (Slipknot) se recupera de una cirugía de reemplazo de disco

La operación tuvo lugar el pasado martes 4 de octubre, dos días después de la actuación de la banda en el festival Louder Than Life de Louisville, Kentucky. En su página de Instagram comentó que ya estaba bien y que, aunque no podrá moverse igual que antes sobre el escenario, espera con ganas el próximo concierto del Knotfest y todos los otros bolos del resto de la gira. La aparición en el Knotfest de Japón será la última de la banda promocionando el último disco, '.5: The Gray Chapter', lanzado en 2014.

Jim contó recientemente a The Rock You Foundation que las penurias de los músicos que estaban en continua gira eran pasadas por alto, pero añadió que sabe el precio que debe pagar por mantener su carrera y vivir su sueño.

It's been awhile since I've posted... a quick update before I disappear again. First of all, many many thanks to all of you for the birthday wishes. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart I appreciate it. 2nd of all... seems as if fractured vertebrae and hemorrhaged disks are an occupational hazard for metal bands. So. Early in the morning after Louder Than Life in Louisville I flew out for disk replacement surgery. Had the procedure this morning and other than being a bit sore and spun out from jet lag and Norco's it's all good. Although I won't be as "mobile" onstage as before I'm looking very forward to the upcoming Knotfest shows and places we'll be going in between... And lastly. That wasn't quick.
